What are hypnosis inductions – why do they get results

how to do hypnosis inductions

What if there was a simple and easy process that you could follow that builds skills and gets results? The easiest way to do that is with hypnosis inductions. What are hypnosis inductions? A hypnosis inductions allows you or your clients to connect to the creative intuitive and part of your mind so you can create results that last as long as you want them to last.

During this blog post, I will share more about what a hypnosis inductions is and why they build skills and get results. The good thing, they are easy to learn and duplicate. Something to keep in mind as you read is the structure of the inductions doesn’t matter so much. What matters is the results. If you’re ready to get results and eliminate things such as anxiety, fears, stress and worries then keep reading. I’m sure you want to achieve other things instead.

What are hypnosis inductions – a simple process to follow

Hypnosis as a whole is a process. I’m currently writing about this process for my book, The Transformative Power of Hypnosis. This is the third book in the Transformative Power series. The hypnotic process consists of everything from the first time you speak to a client to setting up the next meeting after the hypnosis session. The first thing you can do after the client is ready is to do a hypnosis induction.

A hypnosis induction is a way to go into a resourceful state so you can build rapport with your unconscious mind. When you have rapport with your unconscious mind, then you have trust to connect to the resources you have inside of you. An induction allows you to build skills. Many clients want to do hypnosis because they have a bad habit, have anxiety, stress and want to achieve much more.

The hypnosis inductions starts this process. This means the client builds skills they can use at any time. For example, a progressive muscle relaxation induction teaches the client how they can relax different areas of their body at any time. An eye fixation allows the clients to strain their eyes just enough so they want to change their state to one that is resourceful for them. The autogenic training technique, let’s create sensations from within so they can eliminate pain or stress.

Why do inductions get results

There are a few important reasons that hypnosis inductions get results. The first one is they build skills. Your unconscious mind is where you can change habits. Most clients want to do hypnosis because they have a behavior or habit they want to change. The induction guides you into a resourceful state that allows you to create this change.

Another important reason is hypnosis inductions teach you that you can control your state. A state is how you feel internally. Imagine if at any time you could change your state. What if you were nervous and instead want to feel confident? What if you have stress and instead you want to feel calm? How about if you have a lack of energy and instead you can feel motivation? I know this would probably be useful for you.

There are many other reasons. The final reason to share here is hypnosis inductions change your thinking. You only need a little repetition for this. This is because the unconscious mind needs repetition for a habit to be installed. The more you do hypnosis inductions, the more you change your thinking because hypnosis is about learning. You learn new things every time you do hypnosis.

Here is a hypnosis induction or two

There are a few easy to follow inductions that you can learn right away.

The first is an eye fixation induction. All you need to do is focus on a spot on the wall in front of you with your eyes open. Notice the relaxation around your eyes and if the eyes are blinking more slowly. Be aware if the spot changes in size, color, shape or transparency. After a minute or two you may find that you want to just close your eyes.

You can add in as many suggestions as you want during this induction. The reason this works is because you strain your eyes just enough as you focus on the spot that you’ll want to close your eyes.

Another induction is progressive muscle relaxation. The goal of this induction is to create relaxation throughout your entire body. You use suggestions such as feel the wave of relaxation going through the top of your hear, forehead, cheeks, nose, mouth, jaw and chin. You continue this for the whole body.

I often say something similar to

Now you can feel the wave of relaxation going through your biceps, triceps, and forearms. It goes all the way to the hands and into the fingertips. Maybe you feel a sensation in the fingertips.

Either way an induction is about creating from within. Make sure the client is creating a response because that is how you know they are getting results.
