Milton Erickson who is the father of modern hypnosis created the foundation for conversational hypnosis, indirect suggestions which include metaphors and how you can influence others at an unconscious level in a beneficial way with only the words we use.

Yes, he also is a master at rapport and many other things and today we want to focus on some specific language patterns and give examples so you have familiarity and use these in your own personal development.

  1. The first pattern is Mind Reading

Like the name says this is a way for you to claim you have the ability to know what someone else is thinking, feeling or doing.

Examples:

I know that you are wondering (if you scroll up you can see I already wrote a mind read)…

You have seen…

You are feeling…

You heard this…

 

2. The second pattern is Lost Performative…

This is a statement of judgment where the individual who made the statement is actually not identified.

Examples:

It is going to be lots to learn…

It is known that hypnosis and NLP lead to abundance and lasting change…

Many people assume that…

All the successful people…

 

3. The third pattern is Cause and Effect…

A statement that presupposes one thing causes another.

Examples:

You’re reading this and you’re making yourself learn easily and effortlessly…

4. The fourth pattern is Complex Equivalence…

One statement presupposes one thing means the same as another.

Examples:

Practicing these language patterns means you produce better results…

 

5. The fifth and last pattern we will share today is Universal Quantifiers…

Words that suggest something is true.
